We obtained the actual car picture of Dongfeng eπ008 from Dongfeng Motor’s official WeChat public account. The car is positioned as a six-seater medium and large SUV and will open on April 25. It debuted at the Beijing Auto Show.
In terms of appearance, eπ008 is built using a family-style design language. It has a similar sensory experience to eπ007, but the difference is that Dongfeng eπ008 adopts the currently popular through-type lamp group design, and the internal dot matrix Type light sources have a strong sense of technology. In addition, the raised cabin cover ribs and the three-stage air deflector on the front surround can make the vehicle show a stronger youthful attribute.
Since the official pictures of the actual car only released two angles of the front, side and rear of the car, let’s review the official pictures. The new car has a rather burly figure, and the overall body contour is even somewhat similar to an MPV model. It is expected to have good rear space. At the rear of the car, the car uses the same through-type taillights as the front, paired with a spoiler on the roof and a black trim panel on the rear bumper below, enriching the visual hierarchy of the vehicle.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5002/1972/1732mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3025mm. In terms of power, the plug-in hybrid model will be equipped with a combination of 1.5T engine and motor. The engine has a maximum power of 108kW and a pure electric range of 154km. The pure electric model has a maximum motor power of 200kW and a cruising range of 636km.
