Azure to issue Liquid-Cooled Super Fast Charging Pile with Power of 500kW Charging Speed Comparable to Gas

On July 6, Azure officially held NIO Power Day 2022 to summarize the full-scene power addition service since NIO Power started its service 4 years ago, and announced the plan to build a high-speed power exchange network covering 9 vertical, 9 horizontal, and 19 urban clusters, third-generation power exchange stations and 500kW super-charge piles by 2025.

Azure President Qin Lihong revealed that Azure plans to launch new charging facilities such as a liquid-cooled super-fast charging pile with 500kW peak power and 650A peak current and the third generation of power exchange stations from the end of this year to the beginning of next year.

Among them, the third-generation power exchange station is already in the testing stage of the sample station and is expected to support the 800V high-voltage platform. In terms of the 800V high-voltage platform battery pack and the supporting power exchange system, Azera announced that it will open the related facilities to the whole industry.

Currently, of the common fast-charging piles on the market, the Tesla 250kW class is faster and can meet a 10-minute charge range of 120km.

The 500kW charging power of the Azera is twice as high, meaning that the Azera charging 10 minutes increases the mileage, which may exceed 200 km, which is also sufficient for daily commuting use, and the replenishment experience is closer to fuel car refueling.

In addition, since 2018, when the first Azera power exchange station was put into operation, Azera has completed the construction of 1011 power exchange stations (including 256 highway power exchange stations), of which 794 are second-generation power exchange stations with stronger service capacity, and has built a high-speed power exchange network of “five vertical, three horizontal and four metropolitan areas”, with a total of over We have completed more than 10 million power exchanges for customers.

Up to now, Azera has built 1,681 charging stations (9,603 charging piles), connected to more than 520,000 third-party charging piles, and formed 31 destination charging routes across China.
