Audi unveils Q6 e-tron SUV interior teaser image, large dual-screen in-car camera

Audi recently released a preview of the interior of the Q6 e-tron. Judging from the pictures, the new car has a large-size “dual screen” in the center of the center console. It is said that it will be equipped with an “AR HUD real-scene navigation system”, but it is currently unclear whether this AR navigation system still uses a projection solution.

After inquiries, it is learned that the Audi Q6 e-tron is positioned as a pure electric SUV, between the Q4 E-Tron and the Q8 E-Tron. It will be released before the end of this year, and will then be launched at Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd. next year. It will be produced and will be launched in 2025. It will be built on the PPE platform shared by Porsche.

The new car will have two models, the 55 e-tron and the SQ6 e-tron, both of which will use 100kWh batteries and dual-motor configurations.

Audi expects the Q6 55 e-tron to make 375 hp, with output increased to 396 hp via software, and is expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 6 seconds, with a WLTP range of up to 373 miles.

The SQ6’s base output is expected to be 483 hp, which can be boosted to 509 hp, so it has more performance and faster acceleration. Audi estimates that it will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds, which means the SQ6 will be standard here. Defeat SQ5.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a closed grille design in the middle, which is also consistent with the Audi family-style electrified design concept. It is expected that radar and active safety systems for adaptive cruise control systems will be installed in the middle. At the same time, the new car will also adopt the popular split headlight design.

From the side, the D-pillar resembles a shark fin and looks a bit like a coupe, but it maintains the lines of a coupe-SUV and has a more sporty feel. The new car also uses 21-inch dual five-spoke wheels, and the waistline runs from the front to the rear of the car, but it does not use the popular hidden door handles.

Its front logo adopts a two-dimensional lighting style, and the headlights use second-generation LED technology. Users can personalize them through MMI or mobile app, as well as the display mode of daytime running lights.

At the rear of the car, the new car adopts a short rear overhang design, which further improves the vehicle’s handling. The taillights adopt Audi’s iconic through-type design. The light groups on both sides use geometric crystals and support different styles of light languages.

According to reports, the exterior dimensions of the Audi Q6 and SQ6 e-tron are similar to the gasoline-powered Q5. However, the electric model has shorter front and rear overhangs and a longer wheelbase.

Test drivers say both the Audi Q6 and SQ6 come with 21-inch wheels and air-spring suspension. Although similarly equipped, the higher-performance SQ6 has less body roll and feels more controllable in corners.

It is worth mentioning that the new e-tron SUV is the first Audi electric vehicle to adopt a single-pedal driving function. I don’t know how the users will respond.

Thanks to the 800V electrical architecture, this model can achieve a maximum charging power of 270kW. For example, you can go from 10 to 80% in 30 minutes on a 350kW Tesla V4 Supercharger.
