Audi’s electric revolution continues, with spy photos of the A6 e-tron being tested at the Nürburgring already leaking online.

In terms of exterior design, the Audi A6 e-tron will use embedded split headlights. At the same time, it can be seen that the body shape incorporates coupe elements, and the slip-back design of the C-pillar looks more sporty. Compared to last year’s concept car, the production model features conventional side mirrors and flush-mounted door handles.

The Audi A6 e-tron is built on the Advanced Electric Platform (PPE) platform, which will be used in B-, C- and D-class cars from 2023. The platform, co-developed with Porsche, is “generally similar” to the MEB platform, but more advanced because it features 800V technology and up to 350kW charging capacity. Audi also hinted that PPE-based vehicles could have features like air suspension, all-wheel steering, and torque vectoring.

Performance specifications for the Audi A6 e-tron are still unknown, but the A6 e-tron concept features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system capable of producing a combined output of 469 horsepower and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. The concept car also has a roughly 100 kWh battery pack with a WLTP range of more than 435 miles (700 kilometers).

It is unclear whether this powertrain will be offered in the production model, but Audi has confirmed that there will be several versions of the car, including a “base version optimized for low energy consumption and high range” that will use a rear-mounted The motor can accelerate from 100 kilometers in 7 seconds, and there will also be a high-performance version, which can accelerate from 100 kilometers in 4 seconds.
