ASUS RT-AX55 and other three routers were exposed to high-risk security vulnerabilities

According to a report by Bleepingcomputer, ASUS RT-AX55, RT-AX56 U_V2 and RT-AC 86U routers have been exposed to three serious security vulnerabilities, which can be exploited by attackers to remotely execute arbitrary malicious code.

Users of the above ASUS routers head to the ASUS website as soon as possible to download the security update, otherwise, the devices are at risk of being hijacked.

These three WiFi routers are popular high-end models in the consumer network market, currently available on the ASUS website, favoured by gamers and users with demanding performance needs.

The vulnerability exposed has a score of 9.8 out of 10 on CVSS 3.1, allowing an attacker to remotely execute arbitrary code, interrupt services, or other arbitrary actions without authenticating their identity.
