ASUS ROG Phone 6 set to launch with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor

The ASUS ROG Phone 6 is set to launch on June 5th, at 8pm Beijing time. This gaming smartphone will feature many upgrades as against last year’s ROG Phone 5. As the tradition with ASUS gaming smartphones, this coming device will set a new performance standard for other devices to reach.

Since this is a gaming device, we can expect it to use the best processors in the market. Living up to expectations, the ASUS ROG Phone 6 uses the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. A few weeks ago, this processor became available for smartphones. This is a big leap from last year’s ROG Phone which features a Snapdragon 888+ processor.

ASUS ROG Phone 6

ASUS is one company that places a lot of emphasis on battery capacity. This year’s model of their gaming smartphone will feature a 6000mAh battery. It is good to see that the company is also shifting its attention to faster-charging speeds. We saw this on last year’s ROG phone which supports a 65W fast charge, this year’s model will also use the same charging capability.

Since this is a gaming device, the user should receive a fast screen response for every action taken. The ROG Phone 6 will adopt a 360Hz touch sampling rate and possibly a 144Hz refresh rate. Information on the screen size, camera abilities, and pricing will be available at the launch of this device. We expect the new ROG Phone to outperform most devices that are currently available and possibly set a new performance benchmark record.
