No surprise, Intel will be releasing early next month at CES 13 generation Core mobile processors, including the mobile flagship model i9-13980HX, with 24-core specifications, and a core frequency of up to 5.6GHz.
The CPU has now appeared on Geekbench and is featured in the ASUS “ROG Strix G634JZ” laptop, with 8 Raptor Cove-based P-core and 16 Gracemont-based E-core, totaling 24 cores and 32 threads, the same configuration as the desktop Core i9-13900K.
This CPU is also equipped with 36 MB of Level 3 cache and up to 5.6 GHz, which is 600 MHz higher than i9-12950HX / i9-12900HX.
The laptop also comes with 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and the rest of the specifications are unknown, but the power plan is set to “Turbo”.
In terms of performance, the Core i9-13980HX scores 1,970 points in single-core and 20,826 points in multi-core, which is about the same as the previously revealed 13900HX and can even touch the desktop i7-13700K or Ryzen 9 7900X.
