ASUS has announced the October release of the ProArt PA169CDV, a 15.6-inch 4K UHD display that is PANTONE Certified.

It is described as having a resolution of 3840 x 2160, an IPS panel with four times the pixel density of similar-sized FHD displays, 500 nits of peak brightness, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, and 10-bit colour depth, 100% sRGB, 100% Rec.709, and cinema-quality DCI-P3 colour gamut support.
It also supports the ASUS ProArt stylus with 4096 pressure sensing, built-in Wacom EMR technology that accurately detects every hand movement even when the stylus is tilted 40°, and a 10-point touch screen.
Additionally, it is the world’s first portable monitor certified by PANTONE and Calman with a color calibration of ΔE <2. Users can precisely control software such as Adobe through the ASUS control panel, and change brush size or saturation with customizable dials, sliders, buttons and scrolling touch controls. ASUS has also partnered with PANTONE to provide digital colour data.
Elsewhere, the product features two built-in adjustable stands, one HDMI port, two USB-C ports, and support for DisplayPort Alt mode. Through a partnership with Adobe, ASUS PA169CDV users get a free subscription to the Creative Cloud suite of apps and services, which gives creators access to more than 20 apps, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, as well as 100 GB of cloud storage.
