ASRock Technology released a new AMD AM5 motherboard BIOS version to support single 24GB / 48GB DDR5 memory modules.
The new BIOS version adopts the AMD AGESA PI1007 core version, ASRock’s AMD AM5 motherboards including X670E / B650E / B650 / A620 products can benefit from this BIOS update, which can support up to 192GB capacity for 4-slot motherboards and up to 96GB capacity for 2-slot motherboards.
In addition to supporting high-capacity memory, AMD AGESA PI1007 core version also updates the processor voltage protection mechanism, suggesting ASRock AM5 motherboard users to update the motherboard to BIOS version 1.24 or higher as soon as possible.
Corsair was the first to launch the first single 48GB DDR5 non-binary memory in February this year, and now, the price of the series has dropped significantly:
