There is a lot of newly leaked information concerning the iPhone 14 series, the camera pixels, the notch and so much more. But more recent leaks have shown that we might finally say goodbye to the iPhone mini.
Apple introduced the iPhone mini as being part of the iPhone 12 series, and the mini entry was also extended to the iPhone 13 series. The information available shows that Apple might phase out the mini model and provide a new model to replace it in the iPhone 14 series to be launched this year. This “move” will be coming as a result of the performance of the iPhone mini devices in the market, most buyers pick other models above the iPhone mini.
From a personal standpoint, I’d kick against this move to end the iPhone mini, but for the sake of profit Apple will say otherwise. Does this mean that the iPhone 14 line-up will have only three devices, as did the iPhone 11 line-up? Not at all! Apple plans to replace the iPhone mini with a Max model for the iPhone 14 series. This Max model will be slightly spec(ed) above the iPhone 14 base model, so this means that there will be an iPhone 14 Pro Max, an iPhone 14 Pro, an iPhone 14 Max, and an iPhone 14. This means goodbye to the iPhone mini, we look forward to seeing how the Max model will be welcomed by the market!
Two of these devices mentioned are said to do away with the notch, while the remaining two the 14 Max and 14 will still launch with the notch. There might also be an added feature to the upcoming iPhone 14 line-up, which is satellite networking. This feature will enable these iPhones to receive and send messages even in areas with little or no network coverage by simply connecting to a satellite. There are of course a lot of big promises with the iPhone 14 series, let us wait and see how these promises will unfold in the coming months.
