Apple TV + today announced the premiere date of the “Masters of the Air” TV series, the series is the classic war military drama “Masters of the Air”, “War in the Pacific” “World War II trilogy” sequel, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg’s company co-produced the first three episodes of the first three episodes directed by Carey Fukunaga.
The Air Group TV series is based on Donald Miller’s book of the same name, which details the battles of the U.S. Eighth Air Force during World War II.
The first two episodes of the series will premiere on January 26, 2024, starring Austin Butler, Callum Turner, and Ralph Lowe (Jude Law’s son) in the 10-episode series, which is expected to cost over $200 million.
The series follows the young men of the 100th Bombardment Group as they bomb Nazi Germany while dealing with the cold and lack of oxygen at an altitude of 25,000 feet, and will include stories about fighter jets, the pilots’ experiences on the ground in the U.K., and life in a German POW camp, among other things.
