The tweet is as follows:

  • watchOS will introduce a redesigned home screen layout/grid.
  • More heavyweight details to follow. Overall, the watchOS interaction experience is closer to iOS, with support for app folders and enhanced ease of use.
  • It’s not certain, however, whether this new layout will appear as a third option or replace the grid by default.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, watchOS 10 will be the biggest software update to Apple’s Apple Watch since the initial operating system was released in 2015.

In his latest newsletter, Gurman said that watchOS 10 will be a “major” update with “even bigger enhancements”, including an “updated interface”. He did not provide any additional details, so the exact new features and changes remain to be seen.
