Apple’s new AirPods Pro 2 now supports Vision Pro

Apple’s autumn new product launch conference held early this morning, Apple replaced the USB-C interface for the iPhone 15 series mobile phones and officially announced that it would also update the USB-C interface for its AirPods Pro and EarPods headphones. , but Apple has not updated the corresponding interfaces for the standard AirPods 3 and AirPods Max.

Apple claims that USB-C offers more flexibility, and users can now use their phone’s USB-C port to charge AirPods Pro earphone cases or listen to music with USB-C EarPods headphones.

The USB-C-based AirPods Pro 2 and EarPods headphones are now on store shelves, with prices unchanged. The AirPods Pro 2 is priced at RMB 1,899 and will be available from September 22nd, while the EarPods are priced at $149, and are now available for purchase.

While Apple didn’t go into detail about the headphones, it still revealed a few differences in today’s press release, such as the fact that the new AirPods Pro 2 has been upgraded to an IP54 rating (the original version was not dustproof, and was only IPX4 rated to resist water), so it’s ready to accompany users on their adventures in harsh environments.

On top of that, Apple says it will enable lossless audio with ultra-low latency, thus providing a perfect TWS solution with Apple Vision Pro is only available in the US, and is not mentioned in the China press release).

The H2 chip in the new AirPods Pro and Apple Vision Pro is said to combine with breakthrough wireless audio protocols to unleash powerful 20-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio with dramatically reduced audio latency.

When Apple Vision Pro becomes available in the U.S. early next year, Apple says users will be able to enjoy the industry’s most advanced wireless audio experience with the new AirPods Pro, enabling superior entertainment, gaming, FaceTime calling and more.

Elsewhere, iOS 17 brings exciting features and functionality to all AirPods Pro (second generation), including:

  • Adaptive Audio: This new listening mode dynamically blends pass-through and active noise cancellation modes, adjusting noise control based on the user’s environment. This groundbreaking experience is made possible by advanced computational audio technology, which ensures that the user is constantly aware of his or her surroundings while reducing distracting noises, such as other people’s conversations in the office, the vacuum cleaner at home, or the cacophony of a coffee shop.
  • Conversation Awareness: When the user starts a conversation with the person next to them, whether it’s a short exchange with a coworker or ordering a meal at a coffee shop, Conversation Awareness reduces the volume of the headset and enhances the sound coming from in front of the user while reducing ambient noise.
  • Personalized Volume: The Personalized Volume feature uses machine learning to understand the user’s environmental conditions and volume choices, automatically fine-tuning the listening experience to the user’s preferences over time.

Additionally, the new AirPods Pro is designed with materials and features that make it easier for users to listen to the new AirPods Pro 2.
