Apple’s four iPhone 15 models of the most noteworthy change is that the port from Lightning changed to USB-C, and according to Apple’s official press release, the new iPhone can be for AirPods or Apple Watch charging.

Apple’s official press release content is as follows:
- For charging, staying connected on the go, and other scenarios, the iPhone 15 series brings new convenient features.
- Both models have switched to USB-C, the industry’s widely adopted standard for charging and data transfer, meaning that the same cable can now charge an iPhone, Mac, iPad and the updated AirPods Pro (second generation).
Users can also charge AirPods or Apple Watch directly from the USB-C port on the iPhone. Both models support wireless charging using MagSafe chargers and, in the future, Qi2 chargers.
Apple’s current Lightning-ported iPhone models do not have this feature, so you can use the iPhone 15 to charge your AirPods or Apple Watch if they run out of juice.
