According to a report today by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, starting with iOS 17, the Wallet app on the iPhone is expected to be able to display more credit card balances, which can currently only be viewed in the app for Apple Card balances.
Mark Gurman said, “As the company moves deeper into the financial services space, the Wallet app will receive upgrades that may include a deeper tie-in to third-party credit cards to display balance information, thereby enhancing the Apple Card experience.”
However, as with many other financial-related features, the expanded credit card balance functionality may only be available in the U.S. for the first time.
Mark Gurman’s report has outlined several other details about Apple’s long-rumored AR / VR headset, new Mac computers, iOS 17 and plans for Apple WWDC 2023 will be held on June 6 at 1am BST.
