Apple officially said that the 2023 model 16-inch MacBook Pro models have up to 22 hours of battery life, which is the longest battery life available on a Mac.
Both the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models offer one hour more battery life than their predecessors, from 17 hours to 18 hours for the 14-inch model and from 21 hours to 22 hours for the 16-inch model. For comparison, both the M1 and M2 MacBook Air offer 18 hours of battery life, while the 13-inch MacBook Pro offers 20 hours of battery life.
When Tom’s Guide received one of Apple’s top-of-the-line models for review (96GB of RAM, 4TB SSD, M2 Max chip), it ran for 18 hours and 56 minutes on a full charge. That’s 36 minutes more than the 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro.
