Apple will introduce Day One-style diary app in iOS 17, says Mark Gurman

“Wall Street Journal” reported in April this year that Apple will launch a Day One-style diary application; Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said in the latest Power On newsletter this diary app will be launched in iOS 17.

Mark Gurman revealed in the article that iOS 17 has confirmed that it will provide a new diary application, introducing “notes and stronger social elements” to the iPhone. Mark Gurman’s report doesn’t say much more about the app.

It was previously reported that in order to expand its influence in the health field, Apple plans to launch a Day One-style diary application on the iPhone:

Apple's diary app, which will compete head-to-head with apps like Day One when it lists, will allow users to track and record their activities and thoughts.

Apple's launch of the diary app is a sign of the company's growing focus on the mental health market.

According to the information currently available, the diary app, code-named Jurassic, helps users keep track of their daily lives.

The application can analyze user behavior, gain insight into user preferences, understand what kind of scenarios users like to stay in, and so on.

The app also has a wealth of built-in personalization features that highlight a variety of different themes, including workouts. The app also offers "All Day People Discovery" to understand users' social activities.
