Apple has recently expanded the automatic track detection feature of the Apple Watch to more countries and regions, according to a report by dc rainmaker, a foreign technology media outlet.
The following description of the feature from Apple’s website:
Apple Watch running watchOS 9.2 automatically detects that you’re on a track and field. When you start training for an outdoor run, the watch will suggest that you start training for track and field.
When enabled, Apple Watch automatically detects the track, gives you the exact distance, and “snaps” to the right track.
The model was introduced in the U.S. last December and relies heavily on a database of tracks collected by Apple Maps. Apple today announced that the feature is now available in the following countries.
