Apple Watch Series 9 bands, still include a leather version

Hermes launched the new Apple Watch Series 9 case and band series, including some leather bands that are not available on Apple’s official website.

As part of its commitment to the environment, Apple has removed all leather iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands from its official website, including the Hermès bands. However, Hermès, an Apple partner, can still sell Apple Watch Series 9 bands made from calfskin.

In addition to a number of Hermès single- and double-bezel bands made from knitted and woven nylon, there are also a number of bands made from calfskin. Prices for the Hermès Apple Watch Series 9 bands range from $349 (currently about RMB 2,548) to $589 (currently about RMB 4,300), while the case and band combinations range from $1,249 (currently about RMB 9,118) to $1,539 (currently about RMB 1,235). All straps can be pre-ordered today, and orders will begin shipping after September 22nd.

Apple on Tuesday unveiled a new “FineWoven” fabric material made from more than 60% recycled materials, making it more environmentally friendly than previous leather accessories. Apple also confirmed that it will no longer use leather for new Apple accessories.
