According to foreign technology media Patently Apple reported that Apple has recently obtained a patent on the technology of Apple Watch. The patent description says that the Apple Watch band will be embedded with an NFC chip, and the NFC chip inside the watch will be paired to confirm whether the band is officially certified.

The main description of the patent as follows.

"When it detects an Apple Watch connected to a band that is not officially authorized, Apple Watch will pop up a reminder and you can choose to disable a feature/function of your Apple Watch. (In the official example, you can choose to disable an app, service, etc.)"

In addition to verifying that the band is officially certified, Apple wants to use NFC pairing to achieve certain functions, such as automatically changing the dial based on the band color when the user changes the Apple Watch band, or automatically switching to fitness or different applications when a specific Apple Watch band is detected.
