August 13, according to China’s Taiwan Economic Daily, August 12, Quanta held an online legal conference, said by the order deferral and the different product mix of customers, the third quarter of 2022 notebook computers will be more than two percent growth in the chain.
On the server side, Quanta said the second half of the year is better than the first half of the year, the server still has double-digit growth. In addition, the annual notebook shipments in 2022 will fall back to the level of about 59.8 million units.
Quanta said that this year’s capital outlay of about 12 billion NTD (about 2.712 billion yuan), up from the previous estimate of 10 billion NTD (about 2.26 billion yuan), mainly due to the strong demand in the server market in the United States and Europe, Quanta continued to expand production capacity.
Looking ahead to 2023, Quanta said it expects PC demand to pick up from the second half of next year, mainly because PCs have become the core of human life computing, coupled with the continued demand for replacement machines, which will push the PC market to pick up from the second half of 2023.
Revenue figures show that Quanta’s revenue in June this year was NT$12.384 billion (approximately RMB27.975 billion), up 54.8% sequentially and 37% year-on-year, second only to the December 2012 high of NT$12.47 billion (approximately RMB28.182 billion).
