Apple today released a new version of Safari Browser Technology Preview, the latest version number up to 174, mainly to fix the existence of CSS, CSS Container Queries, layout, JavaScript, media, pop-up box, auxiliary functions, SVG and Web API in the error, and improve its performance.
Safari Technical Preview 174 is testing a number of new features and specifics, and will be integrated into Safari 17 Stable in macOS Sonoma when it is stable and mature.
The new version of the Safari 17 browser supports multi-account functionality for independent access to history, favourites, web apps, private browsing, and more.
Safari Technology Preview 174 browser further enhances the Feature Flags feature, which will replace the Experimental Features section of the Develop menu when it goes live.
Feature Flags are available in “Stable,” “Testable,” “Preview,” or “Developer” statuses and can now be searched for. “They can now be organized by topic.
The current “Safari Technology Preview” release is built on the Safari 16 update and includes support for features in macOS 13 Ventura, such as live text, passkeys, web extension improvements, and more.
The current Safari Technical Preview is version 16.4, which is compatible with devices running macOS 13 Ventura and macOS 12 Monterey. However, it no longer works with macOS Big Sur.
