Apple Releases Safari Browser Technical Preview 170 Update

Apple today released a new version of its Safari browser Technology Preview, with the latest version number rising to 170, fixing bugs and improving performance in CSS, Forms, Layout, JavaScript, Media, Popover, and Accessibility.

The current “Safari Technology Preview” release is built on the Safari 16 update and includes support for features in macOS 13 Ventura, such as live text, passkeys, Web extension improvements, and more.

The current Safari Technology Preview is version 16.4 and is compatible with devices running macOS 13 Ventura and macOS 12 Monterey. However, it is no longer available for macOS Big Sur.

Users who have already downloaded the browser can update Safari Technology Preview to the latest version through the Software Update mechanism in System Settings.
