Apple today to iPhone, iPad users pushed the iOS / iPadOS 17 first public beta version, inviting users around the world to test the new version.
Apple has already released 3 Beta versions for developers (Apple re-released the Beta 3 update yesterday), and the public beta version launched this time is the same as the Beta 3 content.
Registered developers can opt into the beta by opening the Settings app, going to the Software Update section, clicking on the Beta Update option, and then opening the iOS Developer Beta to opt into the beta. Please note that an Apple ID associated with a developer account is required to download and install the beta.

Deleted Photos:
Apple has restructured the Recently Deleted interface by integrating the separate “Delete” and “Restore” buttons under the “…” button, which needs to be clicked to be invoked.
When you click the “…” button without selecting an image, the “Delete” button appears. button when the picture is not selected, the options of “Delete All” and “Restore All” will appear; clicking the “…” button when the photo is selected, the options of “Delete All” and “Restore All” will appear. button with photos selected, there is an option to “Save as video” in addition to the delete and restore options.
Mental Wellbeing:
Apple has optimized the design of Mental Wellbeing in the Health app, streamlining the look and introducing a new color scheme that changes the colors for different moods and matches different button colors and backgrounds to the mood.
Very Unpleasant is light purple, Extremely Unpleasant is red, Slightly Unpleasant is blue, Currently Peaceful is blue-green, Slightly Happy is bright green, More Pleasant is yellow, and Very Pleasant is orange.
There’s also an option to turn on reminders to keep track of moods on a schedule.
Apple Music Song Credits
In the Apple Music app, there’s now an option to view a list of song producers by tapping the three-dot icon next to a song that’s playing, searching, or in a playlist.
The credits show all the performing artists, songwriting artists, and people involved in production and engineering.
This section also includes the option to view the full lyrics, which has been removed from the standard drop-down menu, and it provides information about available audio quality such as lossless or Dolby Atmos.
Home app
The Home app introduces a new launch screen that lets users know what’s new in Home. The new version supports richer colours with pre-selected options at the bottom of the interface for quick color changes. Color options also show up in Control Center when accessing specific lights.
The Home app in the third beta now also supports Activity History, which can be turned off or enabled for the previous month. Activity History shows active events for smart locks, garage doors, and home security systems.
Also according to what @10GbE shared, iOS 17 Beta 3 has the following new features and functionality:
Passwords.
New Recently Deleted, deleted passwords and passkeys will remain here for 30 days, after which they will be permanently deleted.
Real-time voice
Press the side button three times to display “Live Voice”. Tapping Send after typing will be read aloud, making it extremely user-friendly for users with language barriers.
However, it has been blocked by the keyboard in many tests, and it will read aloud letters when you input text in Pinyin (e.g.: Good morning, it will read: z Good morning).
