A Tesla Model S being used as a museum exhibit seems to be hinting that Apple Apple Music is expected to land on Tesla’s car system.
This Tesla Model S Long Range Edition is part of an exhibit at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles for Tesla, a collection of vehicles from the company’s history. The images that have surfaced online show the presence of Apple Music software in this Model S. The vehicle’s system version number is 2022.40.50, and users are required to sign in to Apple Music by scanning the code.
This is reportedly a demonstration car, not a full car. It is running on modified firmware, not the publicly released version.
As early as December 2020, a placeholder music source named “Apple” appeared on Tesla cars, which was speculated to mean that Tesla’s support for Apple Music was coming, but a few months later, the code was withdrawn, and there was no follow-up after that, so it’s still not certain It’s still uncertain whether Tesla cars will actually support Apple Music.
