The MagSafe magnetic charger was originally released with the iPhone 12 / Pro series on October 13, 2020 and uses the magnetic wireless power transmission standard. MagSafe provides up to 15W of charging power and is backwards compatible with the Qi standard, so Qi-enabled Android phones and other devices can also be charged with the MagSafe charger.
