Apple launched 15-inch MacBook Air starting at $1,299

Apple CEO Tim Cook, at the WWDC 2023 Developers Conference held today, started with “Code a New World” as the opening, and then went straight to the dry goods and launched the 15-inch MacBook Air notebook.

In less than 5 minutes after the opening of WWDC 2023, Apple first introduced the 15-inch MacBook Air notebook, with a body thickness of 11.5 mm and a weight of just over 3 pounds. It is officially called the world’s thinnest 15-inch notebook.

The 15-inch MacBook Air comes in four colors including midnight black and starlight, supports MagSafe chargers, and is equipped with a Thunderbolt port.

The highlight on the 15-inch MacBook Air’s screen is that the bezels are only 5mm thick.

In terms of performance, the new MacBook Air is equipped with an Apple Silicon M2 chip, which is 12 times faster than the Intel chip version, and the battery life is 18 hours.

Apple says that compared to 15-inch mainstream laptops (the specific model is not specified), the performance has been improved by 2 times, the peak screen brightness is doubled, and the battery life has been increased by 50%.

Apple said that the new model will start at $1,299 and it will go on sale next week. In addition, Apple has adjusted other models, and the 13-inch MacBook Air with M2 now starts at $1,099.
