Apple iPhone 16 Pro series: 1/1.14-inch outsole + periscope ultra-telephoto combination

In April this year, @ digital gossip station broke the news that Apple has customized a 48 megapixel 1/1.14″ or so IMX 903 sensor through Sony, which is larger than the iPhone 14 Pro Max camera size.

According to his latest claims, Apple is considering introducing this setup for next year’s iPhone 16 (Pro) lineup, which includes a 1/1.14″± Superchassis + 1MG+7P Molded Glass Module + Periscope Ultra Telephoto combo.

According to previous leaks, Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max this year will still come with the same 48MP 1/1.28-inch primary camera as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, with the only notable addition being a periscope zoom lens. However, the iPhone 15 / Plus could be upgraded.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo and others, Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max will be differentiated by a new periscope zoom lens that may only be available on the top-end iPhone 15 Pro Max.

This is a technology known as the “periscope lens”, which is able to realize 5-6 times optical zoom (the current iPhone can only reach up to 3 times). Unsurprisingly, this year’s iPhone will usher in a major upgrade, whether it’s the USB-C interface or the new periscope lens, I believe it will not disappoint.
