While the frame rate on iOS is capped at 30FPS, the iPhone 15 Pro frequently failed to hit that mark.
In some relatively simple scenes, the frame rate is quite stable and can be close to 30FPS. However, once entering combat or other more intense scenes, the frame rate will plummet to below 25FPS, or even as low as 20FPS, causing serious screen freezes, seriously affecting the gaming experience. Unlike “Resident Evil Village” which recently launched on iPhone, the iOS version of “Resident Evil 4: Remake” uses the default image quality and does not support custom settings. While the iPhone 15 Pro’s performance was disappointing, the M2 chip-powered iPad Pro ran the game well, with higher resolution and more stable frame rates. For Apple users, if they want to get the best experience after “Resident Evil 4: Remake” is released on December 20, it seems to be safer to choose iPad Pro.
