In a video uploaded recently, the YouTube channel TechRax conducted a durability test on the iPhone 15 Pro model and believed that the scratch resistance was not as good as the stainless steel material of the iPhone 14 Pro.
TechRax said in tests that the titanium casing used on the iPhone 15 Pro feels lighter and smoother, but it is more susceptible to scratches.
TechRax used a knife to lightly scratch the back of the iPhone 15 Pro, creating visible, permanent scratches. “Stainless steel’s resistance to scratches can’t be this bad,” says TechRax. If you cut harder, the scratches will be very deep and look a bit “scary”.
TechRax also conducted a hammer test. Light and moderate hammer blows did not cause obvious damage, and more severe blows caused the screen to crack, but it still worked normally.
