Before the release of the new iPhone in September this year, a blogger @HongYangTechnology shared a video on ShakeYin showing the CAD design of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The video shows that these two high-end models will cancel the split volume plus and minus keys and the side mute switch, but instead have an overall slender button to adjust the volume. Meanwhile, the mute switch, which has been around since the original iPhone in 2007, is expected to become a button that needs to be pressed to operate.
According to the leak, both buttons are solid-state, meaning they won’t actually move, but rather simulate the feel of a press with two built-in Taptic Engine motors, similar to the Home button on the latest iPhone SE or the Force Touch trackpad on the MacBook.
Both models will also feature a titanium body to improve durability and lightness. The screen bezels will also be narrower, reaching the highest level in the history of smartphones. Of course, the new models will also feature USB-C ports.
