Apple vice president of Technology Kevin Lynch was recently interviewed by foreign technology media CNET, when discussing the watchOS 10 system, he said Apple wants Apple Watch to become your “Key to the World” (Key to the World). The Apple Watch will be your “Key to the World.)
In the interview, Lynch said he had this design vision when he designed the Apple Watch. Since the first generation of Apple Watch supported Apple Pay, Apple has continued to enrich and expand the functions of Apple Watch, and now it can be used as a car key, access control and door key.
Lynch said the watchOS 10 system will further enrich the widget, through a reasonable layout, to ensure the aesthetics of the dial under the premise of displaying richer and more important information.
When asked what’s next after the Apple Watch completely replaces all our keys, he hinted at replacing the wallet.
Lynch’s answer as follows: “What are you doing with your wallet today? What other sizes do you have inside your wallet? That will be another area to consider, and over time we will further reduce what users have to carry around with them”.
