Apple documents show Tim Cook spent $767,319 on air travel and nearly $600,000 on security

Apple Inc. today released its annual Proxy Statement, which covers the salaries, bonuses and expenses of the company’s directors and other information required to be disclosed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The report also mentions that Tim Cook’s air travel costs in 2022 will be $767,319 (currently about 5.156 million RMB) and his private security costs will be nearly $600,000 (currently about RMB 4.032 million).

Compared to 2021, Cook’s security costs increased last year. One of Cook’s most notable security incidents in 2022 was the filing of a restraining order against a woman. The woman sent a number of scary emails to Cook in early 2022 and broke into Cook’s home in Palo Alto.

Apple’s board of directors announced that all of Tim Cook’s business and personal air travel must be on his own private jet beginning in 2017 for security reasons, which Apple says are “for safety and efficiency.

The cost of Cook’s air travel in 2022 is $767,319 (currently about RMB 5,156,000), which includes fuel, airport fees and private lounge access, among other things.
