Brazil’s Justice Ministry ordered a suspension of iPhone sales in the country in September and imposed a multimillion-dollar fine after concluding that Apple was harming consumers by not providing chargers with the devices.

However, Apple is still failing to comply with that request, and according to the latest reports, Brazil’s latest measure also seized iPhones from Apple retail stores.

According to Technoblog, on November 11, Brazilian regulators seized “hundreds of iPhones” from various retail stores in the capital city of Brasilia. Three days after the seizure, Apple filed an enforcement order, hoping to continue selling iPhones until a final decision is made in the dispute.

On Tuesday (22nd), Apple responded to Tecnoblog saying that all iPhone sales in Brazil have returned to normal.

According to MacMagazine, Judge Diego Câmara Alves has allowed Apple to continue selling iPhones in Brazil until a final ruling is made, arguing that the company has not violated any consumer rights. The judge also claimed that the Brazilian regulator was “abusing its power” by making such a decision. Apple said it was confident that it would win the legal battle and that customers “know the options for charging and connecting their devices.
