Apple CEO Tim Cook’s total compensation in 2022 will be $99.4 million (currently about 673 million yuan), according to a filing released today by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
His compensation includes $3 million in salary, about $83 million in stock awards and $13.4 million in other forms of compensation. By comparison, Cook’s total compensation in 2021 will be $98.7 million (currently about RMB668 million).
As Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman noted, Cook will take a significant pay cut in 2023, and based on shareholder feedback and Cook’s own support for the change, the filing shows his target compensation for 2023 is $49 million (currently about RMB332 million), less than half of his total compensation in 2022.
According to previously announced financial information, Apple’s revenue for fiscal 2022 (October 2021 to September 2022) is $394.328 billion (currently about RMB 2.67 trillion), up 8 percent from $365.817 billion in fiscal 2021. Apple’s net income for fiscal 2022 will be $99.803 billion (currently approximately RMB 675.666 billion), compared to $94.680 billion in fiscal 2021.
