Whistleblower LeaksApplePro has this time got us something on Apple’s most looked-for product for a decade now- the Apple Car. Codenamed Project Titan within the company circles, the development of Apple’s first automobile is up and running, as the leaker was quoted in Taiwan’s Economic Daily. Going at the current pace, fans can expect the car’s release in 2025 or even by the end of 2024.

Apple car key features

More than 1000 engineers are breaking their necks in shaping up what the company considers the biggest thing it has ever worked on. Apple is truly going the extra mile, by driving cars in California to test and gather data for the LiDAR sensors it got manufactured and installed in these custom-made cars in collaboration with Lexus.

The vehicle would be cast in high-quality titanium alloys. With the use of this premium material, the company plans to offer the same aura that it plans to grant to its Pro iPhones and other devices.

Apple Car price

Apple is yet to grow its reputation as a car manufacturer and it would make sense if it targets a market that automobile giants like Tesla are not dominating. It is time till the company can rival Tesla at a competitive price, and all odds suggest that Apple’s first automobile would be launched in the high-end market for $100,000 and above. And the car would cost a notch expensive if you do not already own an iPhone. The report says that the Apple car would not have a physical key but would instead open with your iPhone handset.

Information coming through multiple sources hints that the company aims to start production of the car by late 2024 or 2025. That, however, does not guarantee a launch in 2025 itself, as mass-producing a car takes way longer than what an iPhone or an Apple Watch would take.
