Apple’s Beats Studio Buds + Earbuds recently passed the FCC agency certification, certification models were “A2872” and “A2871”.
According to the FCC certification documents, Apple submitted the two models earlier this month and expects to officially release them in the coming weeks/months.
It was previously reported that the “Beats Studio Buds+” were found in Apple’s iOS 16.4 RC code, which features active noise cancellation and pass-through mode, just like the Beats Studio Buds released in 2021.
The media outlet found in the code that the Earbuds support features like Hey Siri, and initially thought they would use Apple’s AirPods proprietary W1 / H1 chips, but subsequent communication with the source indicates that the new Beats Studio Buds+ will still use a custom Beats chip instead of Apple’s H1 / H2.
