At the “Curiosity Summit” conference held today, Apple announced that it will gradually phase out all plastic packaging by the end of 2024, and slowly phase out leather products, and most of the metal materials used. All are recycled.

In a press release issued today, Apple stated that it will further promote the decarbonization of the global supply chain. By 2030, more than 300 suppliers will make Apple products using 100% clean energy.

Apple’s press release said that 14 new companies in China, including Jingmen GEM, a supplier responsible for providing key recycling materials for Apple products, have pledged to use clean energy starting from April 2023.
