Apple today announced a new Mac Pro computer equipped with an Apple Silicon chip, which uses the new M2 Ultra chip.

The new computer has the same exterior design as the Intel version of the Mac Pro launched in 2019, with eight Thunderbolt ports and six PCIe slots that can be expanded to support up to six Pro Display XDRs.
The Mac Pro with the M2 Ultra has a 24-core CPU, up to a 76-core GPU, and 192GB of memory. Apple says the new Mac Pro is up to three times faster than the fastest Intel-based Mac Pro.
The new Mac Pro also features two HDMI ports, dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet, and a 32-core Neural Engine for machine learning tasks, with support for the latest Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity.
The new Mac Pro will start accepting orders today and will ship next week, starting at $6,999.
