Apple and Microsoft bring new office experience to Vision Pro headset

Apple in today’s WWDC 2023 opening speech, launched the augmented reality headset Vision Pro, priced at $ 3499 (currently about RMB 24843).

Microsoft became one of the first developers to reside in the Vision Pro headset, announcing that applications such as Word, Excel and Teams were the first to land on the platform, making it easy for wearers to collaborate in the headset environment.

In its opening presentation, Apple demonstrated three applications – Word, Excel and Teams – primarily on the Vision Pro headset, with the ability to control the user interface through the eyes.

Apple didn’t reveal much about the Teams interface in the official demo, and from the available screenshots, it supports the use of 3D characters.

These digital 3D personas are built by scanning the user’s face and using machine learning technology. Apple says the Zoom and Webex apps can also create 3D characters on the Vision Pro headset.

Apple is strengthening its partnership with Microsoft to improve the productivity of the Vision Pro headset while also enhancing the gaming elements.

Apple says the Vision Pro headset has native support for running Unity apps, and more games are expected to come online in the future. Adobe is also bringing Lightroom to Apple Vision Pro, so you can control photo editing apps with just your eyes and hands.
