Apple AirPods and Beats Headphones to come with Made-in-India tags soon
The latest report shared by Nikkei Asis suggests that the Cupertino giant is in talks with the suppliers to shift their production units of AirPods and Beats headphones to India. Moving their productions to India will gradually lower the dependence of the brand on China. The brand is currently facing issues in producing its smartphones in China due to the country’s new zero-COVID policy and political tensions with the US.
Apple is in discussions with suppliers to increase production as early as next year and plans to diversify its supply chain for products manufactured in India. According to sources familiar with the situation, Foxconn, Apple’s iPhone manufacturer, is getting ready to produce Beats headphones in India and has plans to produce AirPods as well, according to a report in Nikkei Asia.
