Android version of the Dynamic Island app now available: more features than the original

Ever since Apple launched the “Dynamic Island” feature at the iPhone 14 launch, many Android users have been focusing on the small hole on their phone screens that they don’t usually notice, always wanting to do something around it. And many developers, based on the rendered video released by Apple, have also started to try to replicate the “Dynamic Island” experience on Android devices, and this software, called “Livly Island”, developed by Chinese developer @BugHome Mobile Theme, is one of them.

After testing, this app basically replicates most of the functions of Dynamic Island, whether it’s receiving message pop-ups or playing music dynamically, it works fine.

In addition, messages such as volume adjustment and start/end of charging are also displayed.

Interestingly, on top of these original Dynamic features, the app also adds some rather unique features that enable users to manually call out pop-ups and perform operations such as checking the phone’s operating parameters and quickly bringing up the Alipay/WeChat swipe code.

The software also allows the user to adjust the coordinates, display size and curvature of the rounded corners, as there are many devices in the Android ecosystem and the position and size of the cut-out vary from phone to phone.

On the whole, the software has replicated most of the functions of the original version of Dynamic Island and added some new features that were not available in the original version.

However, there is some room for improvement in terms of ease of setup, stability and ease of use.
