Developer Mishaal Rahman deep digging the Android TV 14 Beta code, suggesting that Google is about to launch a new Chromecast with Google TV devices, and found a related remote control schematic.
Google announced Chromecast with Google TV in September 2020, a TV stick device. After connecting it to the TV, users can play video content in HD or 4K resolution via the remote control.
This Chromecast with Google TV HD version is priced at 34.99 pounds (currently about RMB 321), 4K version is priced at 59.99 pounds (currently about RMB 550).
In the schematic found in the new version of the code, lies equipped with four round buttons on the left side, two round buttons on the top and bottom of the right side, and an oval button in the center; there is a new star button on the bottom right of the remote control.
About the star button, Google officially named it the “Magic Button”, is a programmable button, that users can set to open a particular program, or view and switch device information sources.
