Google will officially release the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones on October 4, and is expected to launch the Android 14 stable version together.
Canadian carrier Telus has now listed when it will start rolling out software updates to the devices it sells. “Android U” is listed as rolling out to all Pixel devices starting with the Pixel 4a on October 4.
Note: Android U is the abbreviation of Android Upside Down Cake, which is the internal code name of Android 14.
At present, this update list has been deleted, but foreign media droid-life still discovered the change, which should have been leaked in advance.
In addition, Google has begun pushing the first beta test version of Android 14 QPR1 to Pixel 4a 5G and newer phones, which brings a number of feature upgrades and also heralds the arrival of the stable version of Android 14.
