With a focus on the entry-level smartphone market, Google is launching the Android 13 Go edition to cater to the software needs of this segment. Since the Android Go edition launch which took place five years ago, this version of the software has got much attention from the entry-level device market. According to Google, there are over 250 million devices that make use of the Android Go software.
This new release will be bringing regular system upgrades to the entry-level smartphone industry. Google is introducing its Play System Updates to Go devices to make it more possible for these devices to get regular update rollouts. In terms of the system UI and animations, this system will imitate the regular Android 13 software with a few downgrades.

The new Android Go edition will be getting the iconic Material You for easy customization of the looks of the device UI. Other features like Notification Permissions and App Language Preferences will also make their way to this software release. Not all features on Android 13 will find their way to the Go edition release once it becomes available.
Google says that the Android 13 Go edition will make its way to entry-level devices by 2023 with new devices to launch. Smartphone manufacturers popular in the African and Asian smartphone industry will make use of this software once it becomes available. We expect to see the coming Android Go edition release on devices with 2GB worth of memory.
