Android 12L is Google’s operating system for large screens and is to feature on tablets and foldable devices. Now, Samsung is updating its eligible foldable devices to make use of this operating system. This update will help foldable devices to make better use of their large screens, hence improving multitasking.
This update is currently available on the eligible Galaxy Flip and Fold devices and will continue rolling out in the coming months. The improvements this upgrade is bringing are obvious in areas such as multitasking and the overall user interface. It also brings better multitasking features, hence making the large screen more usable as a productivity device.

With this update, the taskbar has a new layout to help users easily switch between running apps without pulling up the app drawer. New gestures are now available to initiate various multitasking modes. Running multiple applications at a time on a split screen with just a drag (from the taskbar) and drop feature is now possible.
This update is currently available on the Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 and 4, Flip 3 and 4 devices. It comes along with the One UI 4.1.1 update for Samsung devices. So, if you are using any of the foldable devices above, head over to your system settings and download the upgrade.
