Tianfeng Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo tweeted today that Apple is unlikely to release MacBook Air/Pro models equipped with M3 chips this year.
This year Mark Gurman of Bloomberg revealed that Apple will release M3 Apple MacBook Air and Pro computers as soon as October.
He said:
" As far as I understand, the process of the conference (this year) will be the same as that of the iPhone 14 conference. Apple will still play pre-recorded videos at the conference. In addition, there will be a conference in October - possibly for the first time. M3 Mac computers launched - but it's unclear whether this will be positioned as an official launch event."
Ming-Chi Kuo and Gurman’s information is contradictory, and both of them have relatively reliable records of breaking the news. The authenticity cannot be confirmed at present.
The yet-to-be-announced M3 chip will be manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process, which will provide significant improvements in performance and power efficiency compared to the current 5nm-based M2 chip that debuted in June 2022.
