The flagship model of AMD’s Raider 7000 processor released yesterday, the R9 7950X, is now available on Geekbench.
As shown above, the R9 7950X has 16 cores and 32 threads, 4.5GHz main frequency, 5.7GHz acceleration frequency, 64MB Level 3 cache, and 32GB DDR5-6000 memory.
For reference, the previous generation R9 5950X scored more than 1700 single-core and 17000 multi-core points. In comparison, the R9 7950X improved single-core performance by 29% and multi-core performance by 42%.
According to AMD’s data at the launch, the Ryzen 7000 series processors use the 5nm process and Zen4 architecture, officially claiming a 13% increase in IPC, plus a 5.7GHz frequency and a 29% increase in single-core performance. The official data is basically in line with Geekbench data.
In addition, AMD compared the R9 7950X to the i9-12900K at launch, with the AMD model showing a 23% improvement in DOTA2 for gaming performance and a 63% lead in V-Ray for creation.
