According to HKEPC, AMD’s upcoming desktop APU will be named the 8000G series, with four options: R3 8300G, R5 8500G, R5 8600G and R7 8700G.
According to reports, R3 8300G and R5 8500G will adopt Zen4 + Zen4C hybrid core design, with 4-core and 6-core specifications respectively, equipped with 4CU core display, and are expected to be desktop transplanted versions of R5 7545U and R3 7440U. R5 8600G and R7 8700G have 6 cores and 8 cores respectively, and the core graphics are 8CU and 12CU respectively.
In terms of release time, HKEPC said that AMD has not yet talked to manufacturers about the launch time of the 8000G series processors. AMD has currently provided ES sample testing and is expected to be launched early next year.
Manufacturers such as ASRock and ASUS have launched AGESA 1.1.0.0 firmware for their X670 motherboards to further support the yet-to-be-released Ryzen desktop APU.
