HP’s new Z6 G5 workstation has now appeared on the Geekbench benchmark platform, equipped with AMD’s upcoming Threadripper PRO 7995WX thread tearer processor.
Geekbench data shows that the AMD Threadripper PRO 7995WX has 96 cores and 192 threads with a frequency of up to 5.14 GHz. This series of processors supports DDR5 memory, and the machine in the picture above uses 512GB of memory.
In terms of running points, this processor scored 2095 points in single-core and 81408 points in multi-core in Geekbench 5.5. For comparison, AMD’s older AMD Threadripper PRO 5995WX (64 cores) scored 1600+ / 54000+.
The summary of Threadripper 7000 is as follows:
This series of processors will be divided into two platforms, workstation and HEDT, based on the AMD Zen4 CPU architecture. The Threadripper PRO 7000 series can process up to 96 cores, support 8-channel memory, have 128 PCIe 5.0 channels, and do not support overclocking. Threadripper 7000 supports 4-channel memory, has 64 lanes of PCIe 5.0 and supports overclocking.
